Remember Seattle in 1993? You may not, if you’re in the target age range of this site, but nevertheless is was pretty amazing. Grunge was at its peak, Amazon.com would start in Jeff Bezos’ garage in a year, and Almost Live was an funny as ever with the recurring lame list skit featuring members of Seattle’s heavy metal community. Making fun of political correctness, Seattle’s politeness, and the dating scene, this Almost Live sketch is hands down my all time favorite.

Almost Live’s decade old skit on the Ballard Driving Academy portrays a Ballard that’s almost a polar opposite from the large condos and chain restaurants lining Market Street…. Hillarious skit though – “Use the whole road. Weave.”

Awhile ago I thought about coming up with a website called MyGirlfriendCostsTooMuch.com where disenchanted boyfriends could contribute horror stories about their girlfriends which would be discussed and voted on by the community. I never ended up making the site (my girlfriend at the time didn’t think the concept was too funny), but the spirit of it is accurately captured in the Almost Live sketch called the Worst Girlfriend in the World.
